Trevor Horton – Director
Trevor has worked in the IT industry for over 28 years. His background is in consultancy and project management, and has experience in all areas of business related IT including Security, Change Management, Risk Assessment Analysis and Requirement Analysis. Trevor has been a director of the company since its inception and, has a prime responsibility within the company for management of major projects and senior liaison for the company’s IT Outsourcing clients.
Mike Hickson – Director
Mike has worked at managerial level in the IT industry for 18 years and has been part of the Link Systems team for 11 years. Throughout this he has been focused on the supply and servicing of network & financial systems to meet the demands of the SME business sector and has a thorough knowledge in all areas relating to Requirement Identification, Implementation, Training & Support of these systems.
Mike is committed to the growth of the service side of the Link Systems’ business and believes firmly that this growth will only be achieved through relationship building, listening to and understanding the client’s requirements and responding in a fair and caring manner. This philosophy is constantly conveyed to all members of staff and subsequently, forms the basis of any service provided to the company’s client base.
Mark Shields – Director
Mark is the senior software developer at Link Systems and has been part of the team for 15 years. Mark is totally responsible for all software amendments and application development within the company. His development takes place in Microsoft ® Visual Studio Development Suite which is the perfect toolset for building database solutions from desktop and client/server database applications to XML Web services of all sizes.
In addition to developing software, Mark is also the 2nd line support contact for the company’s Sage Line 100 and Access Accounts community. Over the years, Mark has acquired the skills to write "front end" programs, allowing proprietary software packages such as Sage and Access Dimensions to be altered and amended to meet more appropriately the client's unique needs.
Richard Wiles – PC & Network Support
Richard has worked in the IT industry for 18 years and has gained a wide and varied knowledge of IT systems having worked in IT support for the blue chip insurance and legal sectors. Richard joined Link systems in 2003 and enjoys the challenges faced by working with smaller companies. He currently supports 500 users across 150 sites. This diversity of customer has given Richard excellent breadth of knowledge in the resolution of complex IT issues.
Dominic Ryan – PC & Network Support
Dominic has been working as a support and new project role out engineer for over 14 years working in the Banking, Insurance, NHS and Telecoms sectors. Dominic has experience in supporting hardware and network infrastructures and associated software products and has a great deal of knowledge in the design, configuration and implementation of new systems. More recently Dominic has taken responsibility for virus protection; which is an ever increasing concern to UK businesses and in the last year has become a far more complex subject.
James Carroll – PC & Network Support
James joined the company in 2004 after leaving college. He has studied and passed all the Microsoft qualifications to achieve full MCSE accreditation. James is the prime contact on the support helpdesk, and is responsible for logging and responding to all incoming network & PC related support calls.
Nicola Spain – Sage 200 & Line 100 Support
Nicola joined us in October 2006. From leaving college she spent 3 years working in the customer service industry. In 2004 she had a career change and moved into the Sage Channel as a support technician. She is fully accredited on both Sage Line 100 and Sage 200 and comes with 2 years experience in supporting both Sage Line 100 and Sage 200. Nicola is the prime contact for incoming Sage support calls.
Claire Trim – Access Accounts Support
Claire has a varied working background including book-keeping and administration in several different business sectors. She worked in support for both the Access & Sage products, employed by 2 different dealers and gaining over 5 years experience in both products before joining us in August 2007. Claire is the main contact for the Access Accounts support calls.
Lesley Biagioni – Finance and Procurement
Lesley has been working in IT procurement and finance for in excess of 8 years. Lesley’s talent is in the researching, sourcing and management of complex IT purchases for link systems and our customers. Lesley has great experience spanning the sourcing of simple applications and hardware through to researching possible suppliers for more complex configurations of software and hardware. Lesley is one of the most valued members of the team as she is the one that keeps us competitive and our customers smiling.
Mike Luper – Consultancy
Mike has worked in the computer industry for 34 years. After spending 12 years in the technical arena, as a programmer, systems analyst and project manager, he then moved into sales, sales management and onward into general management. Mike has experience with a broad range of accounting, distribution, production and contact management systems including Sage and ACT and has been responsible for implementing systems in both small and large organisations. Mike carries out a multi-functional roll within Link to generally support its operational activities.
Steve Luckett – Sage Support / Training
Steve is an ex-accountant with over 15 years of experience in practice and in commerce, working up to board level in the fancy goods and book selling sectors. He also has 8 years experience of implementing, training and supporting the full range of Sage accounting, payroll and productivity solutions, including report writing and integration with Microsoft office systems. Steve is also an experienced Graphic and Web designer and computer technician, providing web and business services as well as 2nd line support for our engineering team.
